In 2023, the College of Family Physicians announced a plan to increase the length of schooling from two years to three, starting in 2025. Many physicians believe this will cause a shortage of family physicians. I spoke with Dr Jack Kliman, a retired family physician from Vancouver, B.C. on his thoughts on the upcoming plan.
